JUNE 25, 2020 — The United States Census Bureau today released estimates showing the nation’s 65-and-older population has grown rapidly since 2010, driven by the aging of Baby Boomers born between 1946 and 1964. The aging of the baby boom generation, the growing numbers of persons living with multiple chronic conditions, and the overall U.S. population is rapidly aging and more than half eventually will need some form of long-term care. Home care is among the fastest-growing occupations in the U.S. with workforce doubling over the past years, and more projected to be added over the next decade.
Matthews Healthcare Education’s goal is to fill that void by providing non-medical home care education and certifications to train the next generation of home care workers!

Matthews Healthcare Education’s objective is to go with the industry and economic needs and provide education to potential home services worker or caregiver to be exceptionally sensitive and dedicated with strong knowledge of care services, client satisfaction, and adaptation at handling a variety of client issues and problems with kindness and professionalism.
Matthews Healthcare Education was formed in 2009 to develop training for caregivers that exceeds current industry standards to ensure that all who completed the program is competent to care for another. Matthews’ programs have evolved beyond the commonly used “video course” requiring participants to perform the skills in a return demonstration, behavioral response to situations, question and answer, and open discussion class environment. Our programs are designed by skilled professionals for caregivers of all levels of skill to learn empathy as they are engaged with others to experience the ailments of aging and disease process. Today, we continue to develop new material and programs that provide for a compassionate understanding of the needs of seniors when looking to hire a caregiver for assistance.
